WELCOME to a brand new school year.  My name is Evan Herrington and I am so happy to have a chance to work with your child! 

 

My philosophy on education includes addressing each child’s individual needs and creating an extremely positive environment, in which the child feels comfortable.  I want each child to reach his or her fullest potential and look forward to working closely with you to ensure this. 

 

            The first week or two of school will be designated to pairing and assessments.  The most important thing an instructor can do is become a positive reinforcer to the learner before placing instructional demands or requirements on him or her. 

 

Communication books will be used, of which I will provide.  I will be sending the books home each day and would like them to be sent back.  If there is anything you feel needs to be addressed, please write in the books.  My email address is [email protected]

Students have lunch each day and we will have a snack, so pack accordingly. 

 

 

Students will go to one special area each day- Media, Computers, Art, Music, and Physical Education (P.E. is twice per week).

 

           

 

I am very excited to begin the year.  I know it is going to be great! 

 

 

 

Attached is a list of materials to send in with your child as soon as possible. 

 

 

Classroom Materials

  

(1)   full change of clothing (shirt, pants/shorts, undergarments, socks, etc.)

 

  

(1) Smock or old tee shirt for craft time
