Ms. Tartaglia's Kindergarten Class 2018-2019

Welcome to Kindergarten at Griebling School!  I am so excited to be apart of your child's first experience in elementary school.  You will truly be amazed at how much your child will grow and learn both socially and academically over the course of the school year!  I am looking forward to getting to know each of your children and working with them. 

So far we have 17 home-based students in our class and 4 students that will be mainstreamed in throughout the day.  Our Specials are as followed: 

  • Monday- Technology & Media
  • Tuesday- PE (sneakers are a must) 
  • Wednesday- Art
  • Thursday-  PE (sneakers are a must) 
  • Friday - Music

We will have a snack and lunch daily, as well as recess too.  It is important to pack a healthy snack and drink each day for your child that is labeled “snack,” which we will have each afternoon in our classroom, including shortened days.  Your child will also need to have a packed lunch unless your child is buying a school lunch from the cafeteria.  Please visit the Howell website to view how you can set up a lunch account on MySchoolBucks.com if your child will purchase lunch.  It’s a fast and easy way to add money to your child’s account.  Or you can choose to send in a check or cash in an envelope labeled with your child’s name & lunch money written on it. 

I hope to see all of you at Back to School Night on October 2nd.  This is a great opportunity for you to get information about what your child will be learning, what table your child sits at, see the classroom and some of their displayed work, the rules & procedures of the classroom, as well as many other things that will pertain to the school year. 

Please feel free to contact me with any question or concerns you may have throughout the year by putting a note in your child's binder, through email: [email protected] or by phone: 732-751-2487 ext. 3010.  There will be very important information in the first weeks of school so please be sure to check your child’s binder daily and return information in their “Bring RIGHTback” side of their binder (right pocket of the binder).  It's going to be a fantastic Kindergarten year!  See you soon!  ~ Ms. Tartaglia  J
