Welcome to Speech!

Welcome to speech and language therapy.  Please feel free to write notes in your child's therapy folder if you have any questions or concerns.  My email is emccabe@howell.k12.nj.us

Week of March 13th

We are in the process of sending home extra therapy practice packets for students.  Materials will be in your child's speech folder or backpack today.  Please utilize these materials to continue to maintain your child's therapy skills in the event of school closure.

There is a link on the side of this page labeled additional practice opportunities.  Please use these resources for your children.

Reminder stories are one of the best ways to practice therapy.  Younger level learners can identify vocabulary through pointing, follow directions, such as "touch something is blue", or simply expose your child to additional language and engagement opportunities.  Students with additional language skills can work on skills such as answering a "wh" questions following each page, predicting what might happen next, and recalling and retelling the story.  Students may also use stories to retell the main idea, character, or setting of the story.

The website will be monitored and additional practice materials will be accessible on the therapy website.  Please check back!
