My name is Meredith Ganter and this is my 8th year teaching vocal music at Griebling & Land O'Pines Schools. I would like to welcome you and your family into the music community here at Howell Township. I am very excited to have you here! Let's take this time to celebrate not only the hard work your child will put into the upcoming year in music class, but also the skills they will develop through their experiences in the classroom. The lifelong benefits your child will obtain through music expand beyond the classroom and are transferable to every other academic subject.
Students attend music class once a week. Grading is based on participation, conduct and class activities. In music class, it is my expectation that students will always be:
Respectful - Quietly raising their hand, waiting their turn and treating others with kindness
Responsible - Treating instruments with respect and returning classroom materials to their appropriate location
Safe - Being aware of their surroundings when moving around the music room, staying in their assigned seats and keeping their hands, feet, and objects to themselves
