From the Desk of Principal Suarez
Dear Bulldog School Families,
As we enter our third year together as a K-5 school, I am incredibly honored to continue leading this community and building upon the foundation we have established. Our mission remains steadfast: to inspire and empower every student to take charge and “Make today amazing!” by providing a stimulating, enriching, and empowering learning environment. This year, we are focused on nurturing the whole child through academic excellence and robust social-emotional support, ensuring our students grow into empathetic and resilient individuals.
Our intentions for the 2026-2027 school year are centered around several key themes:
Building a Restorative Community
We are committed to fostering a student-centered environment where the Bulldog Beliefs - Be Safe, Be Kind, & Be Pawsome, are lived out every day. Our goal is to help students identify behavioral mistakes, apply self-regulation, and repair harm, shifting our focus from punishment to supportive growth because every student belongs at Griebling.
Academic Excellence and Innovation
Our academic roadmap for Year 3 is focused on mastery and critical thinking.
- Growing K-2 Readers: Our teachers are implementing the new HMH Reading Curriculum with dedicated coaching and systematic small groups to support every child in grade-level reading.
- Critical Thinking in Grades 3–5: We are deepening reading knowledge by teaching students to masterfully examine similarities and differences. Teachers will use real-time data from HMH Standards Reports to provide targeted instructional adjustments for every student.
- Math Fluency: We are continuing our "Fluency Face-Offs" to help students build essential quick-recall skills.
Safety and Connection
The safety and well-being of our students remain our top priority. We continue to uphold robust safety protocols to ensure a secure and welcoming atmosphere where every student knows they belong. We believe that life-long positive connections are built on a shared responsibility to follow the rules and work together.

Open communication between home and school is imperative to our collective success. Your insights and involvement are invaluable, and I believe in maintaining an open line with all families to ensure we are working toward these common goals.
