About Mrs. Wisniewski
All About Me
My name is Mrs. Wisniewski and this is my fourth year teaching second grade. However, this year will be my 17th as an educator! Prior to this, I have taught 5th grade for nine years, 6th grade for two years, and 4th grade for one year. I have a Masters in elementary education. In addition, I have thirteen years of experience implementing and teaching reading/writing workshop and am thrilled to get it started with our class this year!
In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family. I have a 6 year old daughter named Alex and a 4 year old son named Jase. Other things I love are going out on the boat, taking my greyhound for walks, reading, and going to the boardwalk!
As a teacher, I believe that learning needs to be student centered and that these students should be equal partners within the process of learning. My teaching practices aim to empower students to take ownership of their education. Students understand they are responsible for their learning outcomes and strive to achieve their own personal learning goals on a daily basis.
